After the huge success and interest in the first Firestar Rose, it was only natural that the
people behind Firestar began to seek out the next rose in the series.
In 2010, Knight’s donated 20 Firestar Roses to begin a special memorial garden opposite
the Memorial Wall at Fiskville. The new garden was unveiled at the Annual Memorial
Service on 2 May 2010.
Firestar flourishes at Toolangi
In June of 2010, members of the local Toolangi community were treated to the official
planting of the Firestar Rose at the Toolangi Fire Station.
Christine Nixon receives a Firestar Rose
At a special meeting of the Toolangi/ Castella Community Recovery Commitee (CRC)
on the 9th June, Christine Nixon was presented with a Firestar Rose.
Firestar Rose at Parliament House Gardens
It was a very special occasion for Firestar Rose when, on Thursday 29 July, the rose was
officially planted in Parliament House Gardens.
